Our chosen institution

Our institution for our trailer is going to be Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. We decided to use them both because they work together to produce and co - finance films. Both of these institutions are common for working on action films so would be good to use for ours. These are two institutions I did not research into earlier, however, after watching more action trailers we realized we wanted to use these institutions.

Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. is known as Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc or Warner Bros. Pictures. It is one of the major film studios and a subsidiary of Times Warner. Its headquarters are in Burbank, California and it was founded in 1918.

The company has many subsidiaries including Warner Bros. Studios, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Home Video, New Line Cinema, TheWB.com, and DC Entertainment. Warner owns half of The CW Television Network. Warner Bros. is also a member of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

Some well known action films produced by Warner Bros. are The Dark Knight Rises, Wrath Of The Titans, Inception, Clash of The Titans and Man Of Steel.

Legendary Pictures

Legendary Pictures, Inc is based in Burbank, California. It was founded in 2000 and in 2005 they formed an agreement with Warner Bros. to co - produce and co - finance 40 films with them.

They have four subsidiaries: Legendary Comics, Legendary Television, Legendary East and Digital division. All films theatrically released have been distributed by Warner Bros.

Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. have worked together on Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Superman Returns, Clash Of The Titans, Wrath of the Titans and Inception.

The institutions shown in this video are taken from The Dark Knight Rises, by editing out the other institutions we could see what our trailer would look like with these two institutions. We took the logos from The Dark Knight Rises because the logos have been changed to silver for the film and this matches our other titles we have designed.
