The characters we are going to need for our trailer:
3 policemen
3 bad guys
A family (A mum, a dad - the protagonist and a daughter - whom gets
abducted.)
Court members
The police
We want our policemen to look as realistic as possible, however, we
would not be able to completely recreate outfits similar to the one the man is
wearing on the left due to it being to expensive. To make the police
outfits realistic we want the costumes to be as similar as possible
to the one on the left, we would want the police characters to be dressed in
black trousers, smart shirts and black shoes. Ideally we would also want ties
and hats. For the props we could get fake guns and handcuffs and passports
could be used as police identification.
We would like the bad guys to be dressed in casual clothing such as
jeans and tops. Although, for some shots where they are carrying out acts of
violence then balaclavas and dark clothing will be useful. Also, where we want
them to seem intimidating leather jackets and black clothing would also be
useful in order to conform to stereotypes of the bad characters in films.
The Mum
We want the mum to be dressed in everyday clothes in order to make
her seem like a normal person in society and making her a more relatable
character. We would also like her to be wearing colours like pink/purple
as they suggest vulnerability.
The dad
The Dad is a lawyer so for our scenes in the trailer we want him to be dressed
in a suit and use a briefcase as a prop. Although, he wouldn't necessarily be
in a suit throughout our whole film it is the only costume we need for our
trailer.
The daughter
We want the character of the daughter to be dressed in typical children
clothes to make it as realistic as possible. We could also focus on colours
such as pink and purple in order to promote her vulnerability.
For the people who would be in the court scene we want them to look
smart and presentable to make the scene look as realistic as possible. We would
like the men to be in suits whilst the women could be in pencil skirts and
shirts.
